• Cathypna sp.n. "to be described by Mr. Harring" after Murray (1913) [Ref.17437], ?Lecane intrasinuata (Olofsson) after Wulfert (1940) [Ref.17655], L. muscicola (Bryce) after Fadeev (1927) [Ref.17215].
• The "type", as designated by Harring (1913) [Ref.17236] (Cat. No. 16519, U.S.N.M.), can not be found in the USNM collection (CDJ, Oct. 2001).
• The taxonomy of the Lecane stichaea-group (incl. the species currently listed as synonyms) remains unsatisfactorily settled (Segers, 1995) [Ref.15457].
