Ecology summary:
Periphytic in peat bogs, dystrophic freshwater pools, ponds, and lakes, riparian and lacustrine wetlands; among moss (especially Sphagnum), Carex, water lilies, and occasionally tychoplanktonic; prefers soft water conditions; acidophilic, but also found at circumneutral to slightly alkaline conditions (Jersabek & Bolortsetseg, 2010) [Ref.18457].
