• Type species of genus Tetrasiphon Ehrenberg, 1840.
• The genus Tetrasiphon was hitherto believed to be monotypic, but another, as yet undescribed species with different trophi morphology was found recently in Vietnam (Trinh Dang, Segers & Sanoamuang, 2013) [Ref.18628].
